The materials are designed to be customized to reflect local details (e.g. road names). The goal of this exercise package is to prepare personnel for the general activities of a local government Emergency Operations Centre (EOC), within the context of a earthquake.

    This tabletop exercise prompts players to perform activities and answer questions related to: EOC Activation; Incident Reporting; Information Sharing; EOC Action Planning; Declaration of State of Local Emergency; Community Evacuation; Media Relations; Resource Management; Transition to Recovery; and EOC Demobilization. This package should not replace formal training; rather, it should be used to complement and reinforce EOC training.
